The job incumbent will process customs clearance to ensure timely release and delivery of goods as per company requirements.

Job Profile

The job incumbent will process customs clearance to ensure timely release and delivery of goods as per company requirements. 

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure proper documentation and processing of customs declaration forms (bill) for clearance of import goods.
• Ensure follow up throughout the clearance process until delivery and costing.
• To keep updated with customs clearance procedures and ensure adherence.
• Prepare reports as per management requirements.
• Ensure proper coordination with procurement/ accounts/ logistics.
• To limit demurrage charges to a minimum through rapid clearance.
• Relationship building with service providers and internal customers.
• Follow up on documentation.
• Verify payments related to clearance expenses.
• Ensure proper coordination for delivery. 

Profile

• HSC
• Customs Clearance Proficiency course will be an advantage
• Experience in customs clearance
• Ability to multitask
• Proactive and forward thinking
• Sense of Integrity
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Fully conversant with MS office applications (Excel, Word)
• Fluency with MNS Portal for Bill of Entry Preparation 
• Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Valid driving license would be an advantage
