The Associate will be responsible for supporting and managing tax compliance, return preparation, research, and advisory work across a variety of client engagements. This role offers hands-on exposure to a diverse client base and complex tax matters, providing excellent opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for corporations, individuals, partnerships, and other entities
- Support end-to-end tax compliance processes, including data collection, documentation, and timely filings
- Conduct technical research on tax laws, rulings, and emerging issues, and assist in drafting memoranda or client advisories
- Analyze financial data, trial balances, and other supporting documents for tax reporting and filing
- Assist with direct and indirect tax reporting for internal and client use
- Respond to tax notices and assist with audits and queries from tax authorities
- Communicate with clients to gather information and ensure service timelines are met
- Contribute to internal process enhancements, templates, and best practices
- Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and share insights with the team
Skills & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- CA/CPA or equivalent certification in progress or completed (preferred)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a tax or accounting role, ideally in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department
- Solid understanding of tax regulations, compliance procedures, and accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/tax software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
