The Purchasing & Logistics Clerk will serves as the primary liaison with suppliers, overseeing all aspects of purchasing, including the alignment with sales forecasts, efficient order processing, meticulous shipment follow-up, and stock optimisation.
The Purchasing & Logistics Clerk will provide essential support for daily inbound logistics operations. This role serves as the primary liaison with suppliers, overseeing all aspects of purchasing, including the alignment with sales forecasts, efficient order processing, meticulous shipment follow-up, and stock optimisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Order Management: Adhere to the monthly ordering process, issue purchase orders, and communicate with stakeholders accordingly.
- Inventory Optimisation: Monitor stock to ensure sufficient quantities for reordering.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Contact suppliers to schedule/expedite deliveries and resolve issues.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules.
- Administrative Support: Perform additional tasks as assigned by Management.
PROFILE:
- Education: Higher School Certificate
- Experience: At least two years in purchasing and logistics.
- Technical Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel formulas.
- Autonomy: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
