The candidate should be responsible for the general maintenance of the hotel, assist in creating and maintaining an environment that is tidy, beneficial and safe for those individuals staying in the hotel, perform basic maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment.
Job Description
Fully conversant with hot & cold systems.
Refill gas/ chiller systems as required.
Maintain and troubleshoot single & triple phase electrical systems.
Carry out minor plumbing works.
Responsible for the LPG safety valve, including regular checks and testing.
Undertake small, general repair and maintenance tasks (e.g., putting up shelves, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, cleaning lamp shades) to ensure safety and comfort for staff and service users.
Carry out painting and decorating to maintain the interior’s general upkeep.
Complete weekly maintenance checks of the establishment.
Maintain standards for all guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and gardens in line with the operating manual.
Ensure proper upkeep and standards for all equipment and heavy-duty machinery according to the operating manual.
Maintain fire detection and firefighting equipment to the required standards.
Oversee the control and maintenance of all operating equipment (including laundry equipment and steam generator).
Keep lifts in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Perform routine checks on door closures, emergency lighting, firefighting equipment, and fire alarms.
Use and maintain general tools, ladders, and steps safely, in compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
Perform troubleshooting for any of the above systems
Qualification & Skills:
At least NC4 or Diploma in Electrical or Air Conditioning System.
At least 3 years of experience in the field.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
