We are Hiring - Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance Department. In this position, your main responsibility will be to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our business premises and equipment. Your duties will include attending to complaints and emergencies, carrying out necessary repairs, conducting timely site inspections, and following preventative maintenance procedures.

Our ideal candidate will be an electrical or mechanical technician with proven knowledge of building services and maintenance procedures. You should be a strong problem-solver with good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
  • Assist and monitor works being performed by outside contractors
  • Implement preventative maintenance systems.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, painting, as well as general maintenance.
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • HSC or equivalent qualification.
  • National Diploma (NC4) in electrical engineering or, mechanical engineering or building services, or any equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of building services not limited to Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC systems, Genset, Fire alarm & detection.
  • Good understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Holder of a valid driving license.
