An experienced and dynamic Distribution Manager with strong expertise in the distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) across Mauritius. Skilled in managing logistics operations, coordinating with key retail partners—including supermarkets and hypermarkets—and ensuring smooth, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of goods.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and manage the daily distribution of FMCG products across the island, ensuring timely deliveries to supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesalers, and retail outlets.

· Serve as the key liaison with major retail chains, building strong relationships to ensure smooth coordination of orders, deliveries, returns, and shelf space requirements.

· Monitor and manage stock levels in warehouses and coordinate replenishment with sales and procurement teams.

· Optimize delivery routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

· Supervise the warehouse and distribution team, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and compliance.

· Track and report on distribution KPIs such as on-time delivery, stock availability, and shrinkage.

Skills & Competencies:

· Deep knowledge of the FMCG landscape and retail distribution networks in Mauritius.

· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for dealing with purchasing managers and retail chain coordinators.

· Proficiency in inventory and route management systems (ERP, WMS, TMS).

· Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.

· Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG distribution, with proven experience in liaising with supermarkets and hypermarkets.

· Fluency in English and French and Creole

· Valid driver’s license and sound knowledge of local logistics and road regulations.
