Safety & Health Officer

To implement and promote Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures within Manser Saxon Group of Companies.

Reporting to the Safety, Health & Environment Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor safety & health policies and procedures
Organize regular safety & health committees as per legal provisions
Implement appropriate safety & health training programmes
Carry out regular occupational safety & health audits and conduct relevant risk assessments
Organise appropriate occupational safety & health programmes
Conduct safety induction training for all new recruits
Inspect regularly all places and sites of work and record findings
Recommend necessary actions or procedural changes to correct areas not in compliance with safety & health regulations
Investigate occupational accidents and submit reports with remedial actions

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or any equivalent qualification
• 2 years of proven working experience in a construction environment
• Fully conversant with IT software (Excel, Words etc)
• Holder of a valid & clean driving license

Other Requisites:

•Fully conversant with safety, health and environmental legislations
•Familiar with OHSAS / ISO standards
•Experience in dealing with expatriate labour
•Hindi speaking would be an advantage.
