We are looking for dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Officers to join our growing team in Port Louis. Summary of primary responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accounting records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and other financial data.
- Complete daily accounting procedures, like posting in General Ledger
- Preparation of bank reconciliation and other reconciliation statements
- Doing follow up for Accounts Receivables
- Preparation of VAT return and remittance of NPS, PAYE and other statutory returns
- Petty Cash handling, replenishment, allocations and reconciliation
- Preparation and organize bank instructions, loan agreement.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecast.
- Provide support during audits and tax preparation
- Ensure all the registers and files are updated on a regular basis
- Compliance with all processes defined in the internal controls manual and all other guidelines, policies, procedures and be up-to-date with all such working and operating materials
- Fulfilling such cognate duties and other assignments as may be requested by Management
Knowledge and skill requirements
- Maintain high level of understanding and control over business flow
- Ability to improve the margin on the deals
- Ability to be a good team member
Profile of candidate:
- Holder of Higher School Certificate with Accounting A Level
- Holder of ACCA Level 1
- Should have at least 3-5 years of working experience
- Strong verbal communication skill
- Need to be honest, accurate, organised and methodical, with an eye for detail
- Record-keeping, analytical and communication skills are also important
- Ability to be a good team member
- Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
