Constance Belle Mare Plage is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Steward to join our esteemed food and beverage team. As the Chief Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of service and ensuring guest satisfaction in our dining establishments.

 

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of stewards, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Implement and maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in all food and beverage areas
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless coordination of services and events
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage equipment maintenance, and oversee the cleanliness of all food and beverage outlets
  • Develop and implement training programmes to enhance the skills and knowledge of the stewarding team
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, striving for optimal guest satisfaction
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control measures for the stewarding department

 Qualifications

  •  Minimum of 5 years' experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting, with a proven track record in food and beverage service
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred)
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities and effective time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices
  • Proficiency in hospitality management software and systems
  • Up-to-date food safety and hygiene certifications
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or other languages is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
