As an Assistant Cook, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes. This
role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that all food meets our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and specifications.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
- Perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking proteins.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
- Ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Help with plating and garnishing dishes before serving.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Cook or similar role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings weekends, and holidays.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
- Valid food-handlers certificate
- Valid certificate of character
