As an Assistant Cook, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that all food meets our quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and specifications.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
  • Perform basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking proteins.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
  • Ensure that food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Help with plating and garnishing dishes before serving.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Cook or similar role preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings weekends, and holidays.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
  • Valid food-handlers certificate
  • Valid certificate of character
