We are hiring a Senior Project Manager to join the Projects and Facilities department at Rogers Hospitality to be based at our Head Office in Mapou.
Overview of the Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee construction and renovation projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and performance monitoring to meet defined objectives.
- Manage permit and license applications, and serve as the primary liaison with government authorities to secure approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Keep internal stakeholders informed on project status, risks, and any changes to regulatory or legal requirements that could impact execution.
- Oversee procurement activities including tenders, contractor selection, contract negotiation, and performance follow-up.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project specifications and technical requirements.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs and variances, and implement corrective actions when needed to stay within budget.
- Support cost estimation, value engineering, and cost control throughout the project to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
- Provide occasional support to facility management activities, especially in handling urgent issues or ensuring compliance with HSE and operational standards.
- Manage and support project team members, contribute to recruitment, performance evaluation, and foster professional development within the team.
- Continuously improve project management tools and processes to enhance project delivery and team efficiency.
- Ensure clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders, resolve issues constructively, and maintain a collaborative project environment.
Candidate's Profile:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field; certification in Project Management is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in managing construction or renovation projects.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with external stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of permitting processes and health & safety standards.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools required.
