Planning, Teaching and Class Management
Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives and assessments.
Set challenging tasks to maintain interest and build on prior attainment.
Cater to individual student needs and maintain lesson structure, pace and motivation.
Use diverse teaching methods, including questioning, resource selection and study skill development.
Ensure effective use of time, assessments and school policies on discipline, behaviour and homework.
Contribute to curriculum development with clear targets and success criteria.
Pastoral Duties
Act as class tutor, supporting the progress and well-being of students.
Register attendance, encourage participation and address individual student concerns.
Prepare reports and action plans and communicate with staff about student needs.
Professional Requirements
Understand professional responsibilities and operate within school policies.
Maintain subject expertise and uphold high standards of conduct.
Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to school activities, meetings and events.
Engage with parents and the learning community while pursuing personal professional development.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area or B.Ed. qualification in Mathematics or Physics
Post Graduate Certificate of Education or a certificate of equivalence.
Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience in secondary section.
Experience in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Experience in IGCSE, A-Level and IB
Previous experience in an international school setting.
