Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots electrical systems and automated laundry equipment to ensure reliable operations in a commercial laundry facility. This role supports efficient laundry processes, adheres to electrical safety and hygiene standards, and fosters team collaboration and local staff development to deliver high-quality service.
Reporting To: Laundry Supervisor or Assistant Commercial Laundry Manager
Key Responsibilities:
■ Monitor electrical systems, including control panels, motors, and automation components, to ensure consistent equipment performance.
■ Verify system functionality through regular checks, ensuring laundry machines
operate reliably.
■ Start and test electrical components before shifts to confirm operational readiness.
■ Address electrical faults or alarms promptly, making adjustments to restore functionality.
■ Perform regular inspections of electrical wiring, control systems, and automation components to identify potential issues.
■ Conduct preventive maintenance, such as servicing connections and recalibrating controls, to minimize equipment downtime.
■ Troubleshoot electrical faults, including motor or automation issues, using diagnostic tools and technical schematics.
■ Repair or replace faulty electrical components to maintain efficient laundry operations.
■ Report significant electrical issues to the Laundry Supervisor and recommend system improvements.
■ Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and electrical system performance for operational continuity.
■ Document fault diagnoses and repair outcomes, ensuring records are accessible to the laundry team.
■ Update equipment documentation with operational notes to support future maintenance.
■ Adhere to industry safety standards and local regulations for electrical systems, including safe maintenance practices.
■ Use appropriate protective equipment during maintenance to ensure personal and team safety.
■ Follow emergency procedures for electrical incidents, responding quickly to mitigate risks.
■ Promote a safe working environment by maintaining electrical systems and enforcing safety protocols.

■ Work closely with the Steam Technician to ensure integrated electrical and steam system performance.
■ Assist other laundry staff with equipment-related tasks during downtime to enhance team efficiency.
■ Support the training of local staff on basic electrical maintenance and safety practices.
■ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Assistant Commercial Laundry Manager.
Qualification & Experience:
■ Engineering Diploma or ITI Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical System (2 or 3 Years)
■ Minimum 5-6 Year Field Experience
