Our client in the financial sector is seeking to recruit a Senior Compliance Analyst.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, implementation and review of Compliance policies, procedures, systems and processes.
  • Keep abreast of new legislative and regulatory developments, industry best practices and ensure that policies, procedures, systems and processes are kept up to date accordingly.
  • Undertake regular compliance audits and reviews to assess compliance with laws and regulations and internal policies & procedures and prepare compliance review reports.
  • Assist in responding to queries promptly and provide advice on compliance matters to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Undertake compliance risk assessments, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Help in the preparation of compliance reports on regulatory matters for submission to Senior Management and Board of Directors both on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of trainings and awareness programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Team Leader/Manager in the smooth running of regulatory inspections and independent audits.
  • Assist in addressing data protection issues and provide guidance to employees in ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
  • Lead the planning and execution of compliance projects to ensure successful implementation.
  • Supervise the work of compliance employees falling under your responsibility and provide them with continuous support and guidance.
  • Provide support to and work in close collaboration with the Compliance Team Leader/Manager to assist them in the discharge of day-to-day duties and achieving compliance objectives.
  • Assist the Team Leader/Manager in fostering a compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organisation.
Profile:
  • University degree and/or professional qualification in Finance or Law or Management or any other related field.
  • Have at least 5 years' working experience in a similar position.
  • Have an excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Be an excellent team player.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Use discretion regarding confidential material and adhere to the code of ethics.
