Maintenance Technician

To Service our external customers with rapid and prompt services and help to maintain and repair their current Medical and industrial Plant/system.

Installation / Maintenance /Repairs

• Respond to and repair gas equipment timeously following breakdowns in a safe manner while minimizing production down time.
• Perform copper pipe soldering works and metal works .
• Perform gas reticulation installation with the contract/installation team.
• Ensure proper preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain equipment and ensure that equipment is conditionally monitored to ensure safe operations.
• Be able to trouble shoot and find fault on application / plant gas equipment

Stock / Tools

• Follow up with Maintenance Superintendent to ensure that minimum stock of spare parts for maintenance use are kept in store and advise superior for reorder in case of insufficient stock.
• Ensure that maintenance tools are properly kept ( on site /off site )

Surveys / Quotes/ Follow up

• Participate in the preparation of Bill of materials.
• Site surveys to be done.
• Quotes and proper feedback to be given to clients after site surveys.
• Keep accurate and suitable records of the Maintenance Service Checklist and Repair/ Service reports.
• Provide feedback to the manager on a daily/weekly basis with regards to jobs in progress and/or completed.

• Comply with the scheduled plan of the Equipment Service Agreement and to be ready at any time to deal with breakdowns.
• Assist Maintenance Superintendent in preparation of Tenders and any local/foreign installations.

Safety

• Ensure that appropriate Personal Protective Equipment are worn by you when necessary and required

• Maintain a professional image at all times, including keeping PPE clean and presenting a courteous attitude to customers at all times.

• Ensure the company’s health and safety regulations are closely followed.

Others

• Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time by your Manager/supervisor with the requirements of your position in the Company.
• Ready to work during odd hours and during weekends.
• Ensure that you are up to date with all your Intelex folders.
• Follow any training which is in line with your activities.
