As the main liaison between our organisation and partners, The Partnerships Lead will be responsible for enhancing partner engagement, resolving challenges, and supporting effective collaboration across operational and strategic levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Relationship Building & Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for in-country partners, maintaining strong and responsive communication channels.
  • Foster trust, transparency, and alignment through regular check-ins, on-site visits (where applicable), and open dialogue.
  • Understand partner needs, challenges, and local context to strengthen collaboration and support.
  • The Partnership Lead may be required to travel within Africa to visit in-country partners and support relationship management.

Partnership Management

  • Ensure that all partnership activities align with organisational goals and local realities.
  • Monitor partner performance, provide feedback, and support mutual improvement plans.
  • Facilitate timely sharing of information, updates, and documentation between internal teams and partners.

 Support & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal departments to respond to partner needs and inquiries.
  • Support onboarding and orientation for new partners or partnership agreements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how we work together and co-create solutions with partners.

 Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report on partner engagement levels, communication effectiveness, and satisfaction.
  • Identify risks or communication gaps early and propose proactive solutions.
  • Prepare updates and summaries for internal stakeholders on partnership health.

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or external relations.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships across cultures and organisations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong cultural sensitivity and understanding of working with diverse teams or regions.
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities in a structured way.
