Asst Stock Controller
Agiliss Ltd is looking for an Assistant Stock Controller for its Finance Department.
The job incumbent will assist the Stock Controller in:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performing daily inspections of warehouse/stores and issue reports to the Chief Accountant and Operations Manager
- Performing daily counts on high-risk items as designated by the reporting line
- Running of stock Audit reports & Cut Off before doing any stock count
- Following up on stock ageing report on a weekly basis
- Communicating variance report to management
- Prepare request for “Approval of Stock write off” template and follow up for signatures
- Verifying the unloading of all Items received from Suppliers and advising if any variances are noted to the Export & Import Manager. Follows up with E&I Manager to ensure that all claims for missing goods have been made and such credit notes or refunds are fully accounted for in the system
- Highlighting all noted store/production differences to the respective Head and assists the Stock Controller for the write-up and issuing of a formal report, after obtaining relevant explanations, to the Chief Accountant and Operations Manager
- Reporting all variances noted in both the Production and Storage processes on a timely basis
- Observing all elimination of stock in cases of expiry or inappropriateness for consumption after having obtained all necessary approvals
- Performing monthly full counts and assisting the auditors in the yearly count exercise.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports on: Missing items, Damaged or Expired items, and general stock reconciliation
- Regularly updating colleagues from other departments on requirements, especially in the event of joiners and leavers
Qualifications/Experience:
2 years in similar position
Experience in FMCG
Knowledge of SAP or integrated ERPs will be an advantage
Basic accounting knowledge
