We're Hiring: HR Assistant / People Operations Assistant

Are you passionate about Human Resources and ready to contribute to a thriving and people-focused organization? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant / People Operations Assistant to join our team and support key HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take part in internal training courses and implement learnings in daily practice
- Assist HRE/HRC/HODs in coordinating a timely and structured recruitment and selection process
- Welcome newly hired employees and manage the entire onboarding process for a smooth integration
- Prepare onboarding documents and kits, including contracts and job descriptions; ensure uniform availability
- Assign a buddy and organize hotel tours for new recruits with the Front Office
- Collaborate with HODs to set training plans in advance for new staff
- Clearly communicate company policies, dress codes, onboarding agenda, and procedures
- Organize induction sessions with the People Development Manager
- Identify innovative onboarding solutions for improved scalability and experience
- Schedule and follow up on performance appraisals with HODs
- Conduct daily hotel tours to connect with employees, gather feedback, and address concerns
- Support managers with the coordination of training events and induction programs
- Maintain good internal staff relationships
- Assist in monthly payroll preparation with HRE/HRC
- Follow up on uniform purchase requests and monitor benefits and salary records
- Compile and maintain monthly statistical reports (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, etc.)
- Draft correspondence, organize meetings, and take minutes for HR meetings
- Handle documentation related to recruitment and departure of team members
- Interact with team members to gather feedback on the work environment
- Manage leave records, attendance exceptions, and staff inquiries in absence of superior
- Conduct reference checks and maintain employee records
- Ensure availability of HR forms and maintain notice board updates
- Coordinate transport logistics for staff and resolve transport-related issues
- Assist with welfare and social activity organization
- Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on corrective actions with HODs and Hotel Manager
- Track and follow up on GSQ findings and corrective action plans
- Comply with sustainability commitments and inform the Sustainable Development Department of any related concerns
Candidate Profile:
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or Psychology from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources
- Fluent in English and French; a third language is an advantage
- Conversant with current legislation, HR policies, and procedures (RO/WRA)
