Key Responsibilities:
This role includes, but is not limited to:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including income, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, receipts, bills, POs, payments and other financial documents accurately and promptly.
- Ensure that all entries are recorded in accordance with accounting standards, company policies and legal requirements.
- Update and reconcile financial ledgers and reports.
- Assist in bookkeeping and maintaining financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, annual budgets, expense reports and financial forecasts.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and manage collections.
- Enter financial data into accounting software, ensuring all records/financial transactions are up-to-date and organized.
- Organize and file accounting documents and reports.
- Provide clerical support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and responding to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc duties as may be required.
Requirements:
- Minimum HSC with Accounting, Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA Level 1 in progress.
- Prior experience of at least 1-2 years in accounting is preferred.
- Knowledge in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Accounting knowledge of book-keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to engage and build rapport with customers.
- Adherence to ethical practices and safeguarding financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, able to handle pressure and respect tight deadlines.
- Good team player
