We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional RESERVATION ASSISTANT to attend and handle all incoming and outgoing room reservation requests, as per the hotel standards and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Process all reservation requests, availability, changes and cancellations in a prompt and courteous manner;
• Adhere to telephone etiquette;
• Identify guest’s reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate;
• Provide the best accommodation options – arrange all services for guests and serve as point of contact;
• Upon receiving reservations, ensure that they are immediately processed in the Property Management System;
• Prepare statistical reports on room occupancy, average room rate, among others;
• Ensure all Reservations correspondences are filed correctly and Reservation dossiers set up;
• Check all rates thoroughly to avoid rebates;
• Keep the Reservations Manager fully informed of all significant problems or unusual matters;
• Process stop sales & payments and send confirmation letter to guests;
• Understand, implement and monitor all procedures and policies of the reservation department;
• Upsell where appropriate;
• Provide support to guests to modify & cancel their bookings;
• Process City Ledger & verify guests vouchers;
• Meet with direct guests if required;
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
