Job Title: Project Executive
Company Overview: Our Client is a mining company primarily focused on the development and exploration of Graphite. The company aims to become a leading supplier of high-quality graphite for various applications including lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells, and graphene production.
The company is expanding its operations to Mauritius, where they aim to establish a robust presence. As they embark on this journey, they are seeking a skilled Project Executive to assist the Project Director in setting up the entity in Mauritius. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the company while ensuring compliance with local regulations and technical requirements.
Position Overview: The Project Executive will play a critical role in supporting the Project Director in all aspects of setting up the entity in Mauritius. This individual will be responsible for administrative duties, liaising with relevant bodies for licenses and permits, and providing technical expertise, particularly in engineering-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to navigate regulatory processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Project Director in all aspects of setting up the entity in Mauritius. This includes coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and handling correspondence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with relevant government and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary licenses, permits, and approvals for the company's operations in Mauritius. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize technical knowledge and engineering background to assist in the planning and execution of project activities. Provide input on technical specifications, feasibility studies, and infrastructure requirements.
- Project Coordination: Support the Project Director in coordinating project activities, including procurement, logistics, and construction. Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders involved in the project, including government officials, suppliers, contractors, and local communities. Build positive relationships and facilitate communication to support project objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities, including contracts, permits, and compliance documents. Prepare regular reports for management on project progress, challenges, and key milestones.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project implementation and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Proactively monitor project risks and take appropriate action to minimize impact on project outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or technical disciplines are a plus.
- Proven experience (at least 5 years) in project management or project coordination roles, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes in Mauritius.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Adaptability and resilience in navigating challenges and driving project success in a dynamic environment.
