Job Description
A Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen and food service areas. They support kitchen and restaurant operations by washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and ensuring that hygiene standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and kitchen utensils.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
- Keep floors, walls, and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing supplies.
- Follow food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Support kitchen staff by providing clean equipment and utensils as needed.
- Refill cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
