Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Operations | GSSC Projects & Quality Control
Job Purpose:
We are seeking a
motivated and experienced Senior Operational Control Officer in our Operational
Control department to efficiently manage and oversee the Reconciliation and
Quality Control function across group countries. The role is responsible for
ensuring robust operational controls, timely reconciliation processes, risk
mitigation, process efficiency, and a customer satisfaction culture.
Key Responsibilities Reconciliation
Ensure daily
reconciliation of bank accounts is completed accurately and within agreed operational
timelines across all locations.
Monitor ledgers and
statements for all relevant accounts.
Perform and oversee
reconciliation of Nostro and other operational accounts.
Generate reports and
analyse outstanding or at-risk items.
Attend to internal and
external queries efficiently and promptly.
Ensure operational
risks are maintained within acceptable levels.
Maintain an active
hands-on role in daily operations.
Quality Control
& Process Improvement
Review operational
output to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Contribute to a
control environment that minimizes operational risks and errors.
Support management
with strategic operational improvements.
Identify opportunities
to improve efficiencies and streamline operational processes.
Promote knowledge
sharing and continuous learning across the team.
Team Collaboration
Support daily
operational activities to maintain high standards of accuracy and service
delivery.
Provide coaching and
support to team members, especially during peak periods.
Contribute positively
to departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications
& Skills
Bachelor’s degree in
finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 1–3 years’
experience in a similar operational control, reconciliation, or financial
services role
Knowledge of
reconciliation, quality control, and banking operations
Excellent verbal and
written communication skills
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Attention to detail
and accuracy

Organizational and
time management skills
Ability to work under
pressure and meet strict deadlines

Availability to work
