Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all departments are properly manned as per budget, coordinate recruitment and selection process.
  • Communicate and work in close relation with Middle managers and upper-level Management on all applicable HR and staffing matters.
  • Prepare monthly HR metrics/statistics/dashboard
  • Ensure that employees receive accurate and timely assistance or advice in response to particular queries related to HR, work or personal issues.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and legislation and adapt same to company policy and procedure as needed.
  • Supervision of the administration of leaves and absences
  • Administer, monitor and improve the reward and recognition systems (financial and non-financial) in order to motivate employees
  • Assisting to devise and implement a recruitment and retention strategy in a talent management strategy
  • Manage employee relations and foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee relations issues in the hotel in a confidential manner, including disciplinary committees, warnings, cautions, etc.
  • Any other cognate duties 

Qualifications & Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Management/HR or equivalent
  • Proven work experience as HR Generalist (min 3 year in hospitality industry desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Mauritius.
  • Knowledge of Sicorax HR & Vipertex
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible, ability to work on multi-tasks and handle pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
  • Excellent team player
