Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Security
Officer main duty is to assist the Chief Security Officer to manage the
guarding activities of his assigned site. This requires a continual attendance
on assignments; briefing and lecturing security guards on their duties and
ensuring that our services always meet customer’s satisfaction.
While he assists
the Chief Security Officer in organization and planning, he must also inspire
employees by leading by example with a vision of the organization. He also
needs to be an effective communicator and liaise with employees, customers, supervisors
and managers of the Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist the Chief Security Officer to prepare planning.
- Ensure to place the right resources in the right place.
- Make the necessary change in postings due to sicknesses;
absences etc. and inform the Chief Security Officer and Control Centre
accordingly.
- Follow absences and leaves requests and inform the Chief
Security Officer and the Control Centre accordingly.
- Perform on-site training with new recruits.
- Lecture the Security Guards regularly to improve their
performance and build good relationships.
- Be intransigent towards good grooming.
- Maintain good relationships with management, admin staffs and
prevent/avoid conflicts that may arise.
- Inform the Guarding Manager, the Regional Supervisors, the
Chief Security Officer or the Control Centre of any abnormalities to be
inserted in DS and follow up for necessary actions.
- Impose leadership, to bring about and maintain discipline.
- Always inform and liaise with the Regional Supervisors, Guarding
Manager or the Chief Security Officer for advice before taking important
decisions.
- Assist the Chief Security Officer to survey and keep records of
all company owned equipment. Follow up movements and ensure their good
serviceability at all time. Investigate and report any misuse.
- Always be prepared to take-up any cognate duties that may crop
up, notwithstanding covering a post on a different site if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least SC
- A previous experience of at least three years in the same role
or similar role is mandatory
