Job Description
Key Result Areas
- Carry
out all mise-en-place duties and assigned responsibilities efficiently,
within the required timeframes, and according to established standards.
- Deliver
food and beverage service in accordance with the hotel’s service standards
and operational sequence.
- Maintain
thorough knowledge of the food menu, beverage list, and wine selection in
order to respond confidently and accurately to guest enquiries.
- Ensure
guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded by providing friendly,
attentive, and efficient service.
- Coordinate
effectively with the kitchen, stewarding, bar, and housekeeping
departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Collect
and deliver laundry items in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Obtain
and check supplies from the stores following hotel procedures and
operational requirements.
- Maximise
outlet revenue by actively applying up-selling techniques and promoting
hotel products and services.
- Assist
in maintaining the outlet in excellent physical condition by reporting
maintenance, engineering, or housekeeping issues to the outlet supervisor.
- Support
cleanliness and hygiene standards by carrying out front-of-house and
back-of-house cleaning duties as assigned.
- Handle
guest complaints professionally whenever possible or escalate them to
supervisors when necessary.
General Responsibilities
- Contribute
positively to team spirit and staff morale by maintaining professional and
effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Perform
any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
- Provide
constructive suggestions and recommendations for the continuous
improvement of hotel operations and guest service standards.
- Maintain
full awareness and understanding of all health and safety regulations,
including fire and emergency procedures.
- Uphold
high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, uniform presentation, and
professional body language.
- Demonstrate
professionalism and courtesy at all times when representing the image and
reputation of the hotel.
- Attend
all meetings, training sessions, and development programmes as required by
supervisors.
- Ensure
all duties and responsibilities are carried out honestly, ethically, and
in compliance with local laws and hotel policies.
- Interact
professionally with guests and actively seek feedback to improve service
quality and guest satisfaction.
