Job Description
Your Role
As a Technical Sales Executive at Schimen Ltd, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and consultants, and promoting our interior fit-out and contracting services.
You will work closely with the design, estimation, procurement, and operations teams to understand client requirements and propose practical, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions. The role requires both commercial awareness and technical understanding of interior fit-out works, including ceilings, partitions, aluminium, glazing, and finishing works.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, commercial, and residential sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, quantity surveyors, project managers, contractors, and direct clients
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and project presentations to promote the company’s services and capabilities
- Understand project requirements and coordinate internally to prepare suitable technical and commercial proposals
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates, BOQ submissions, and follow-up documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical support where required
- Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate contracts to secure projects
- Collaborate with the operations and site teams to ensure project feasibility, smooth execution, and client satisfaction
- Develop sales and marketing initiatives to improve brand visibility and generate leads
- Attend networking events, industry meetings, and project briefings to expand the company’s market presence
- Maintain an updated pipeline of prospects, tenders, and ongoing opportunities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new materials/products relevant to the fit-out industry
- Ensure timely reporting of sales activities, client feedback, and revenue forecasts
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth objectives of the company
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in sales or business development within the construction, interior fit-out, or related industry
- Good understanding of fit-out materials, construction methods, and project coordination
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build long-term professional relationships with clients and consultants
- Commercially minded with strong problem-solving abilities
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience in quotation preparation and project costing would be an advantage
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Construction -Management, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for meetings and site visits
- Ability to work flexible hours when required
