Job Description

Your Role 

As a Technical Sales Executive at Schimen Ltd, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and consultants, and promoting our interior fit-out and contracting services.

You will work closely with the design, estimation, procurement, and operations teams to understand client requirements and propose practical, cost-effective, and technically sound solutions. The role requires both commercial awareness and technical understanding of interior fit-out works, including ceilings, partitions, aluminium, glazing, and finishing works.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction, commercial, and residential sectors
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, quantity surveyors, project managers, contractors, and direct clients
  3. Conduct client meetings, site visits, and project presentations to promote the company’s services and capabilities
  4. Understand project requirements and coordinate internally to prepare suitable technical and commercial proposals
  5. Prepare quotations, cost estimates, BOQ submissions, and follow-up documentation
  6. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical support where required
  7. Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate contracts to secure projects
  8. Collaborate with the operations and site teams to ensure project feasibility, smooth execution, and client satisfaction
  9. Develop sales and marketing initiatives to improve brand visibility and generate leads
  10. Attend networking events, industry meetings, and project briefings to expand the company’s market presence
  11. Maintain an updated pipeline of prospects, tenders, and ongoing opportunities
  12. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new materials/products relevant to the fit-out industry
  13. Ensure timely reporting of sales activities, client feedback, and revenue forecasts
  14. Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth objectives of the company

Candidate Profile
  1. Proven experience in sales or business development within the construction, interior fit-out, or related industry
  2. Good understanding of fit-out materials, construction methods, and project coordination
  3. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  4. Ability to build long-term professional relationships with clients and consultants
  5. Commercially minded with strong problem-solving abilities
  6. Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  8. Experience in quotation preparation and project costing would be an advantage
  9. Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Construction -Management, Engineering, Interior Design, or related field
  10. Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for meetings and site visits
  11. Ability to work flexible hours when required
