Job Description

Job Purpose

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall Information Technology strategy, infrastructure, systems, and digital operations of Emcar Group. The role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems across the Group while supporting business operations through effective technology solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, and servers.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems across all business units.
  • Manage IT assets including computers, servers, mobile devices, and licensed software.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

Network & Cybersecurity

  • Ensure the security of IT systems, networks, and data against cyber threats.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, firewalls, antivirus systems, and backup solutions.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and IT governance standards.

Business Applications & Support

  • Manage ERP systems, business applications, and enterprise software solutions.
  • Provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of IT issues.
  • Liaise with vendors and third-party service providers for system support.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of core business applications across departments.

Team Management

  • Supervise and develop IT support staff and technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure service delivery standards.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to internal users.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the IT team.

Project Management

  • Lead IT projects from planning to execution, including system implementations and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Prepare and manage the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Prepare project documentation and progress reports.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Ensure data integrity, availability, and secure storage.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Support management with IT-related reports and analytics tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT management or senior IT roles
  • Proven experience in network administration, systems management, and cybersecurity
  • Experience in ERP systems and enterprise IT environments
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One, Crystal Reports, and Power BI will be considered a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
  • Server administration (Windows/Linux)
  • Cloud computing (Microsoft 365, Azure or similar)
  • Cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
  • ERP systems management
  • Database management (SQL or similar)
  • IT project management tools
  • SAP Business One, Crystal Reports, and Power BI (advantageous)
