Job Description
Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic Cook. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, safe, and well-balanced meals. This role ensures that meals meet medical dietary requirements, hygiene standards, and contribute to patient recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to prescribed dietary plans and medical guidelines.
- Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare staff to accommodate patient-specific nutritional needs (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, allergen-free diets).
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and infection-control standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment.
- Monitor food supplies, assist with inventory management, and report shortages promptly.
- Serve meals on time and in appropriate portions, ensuring presentation is appealing and supportive of patient appetite.
- Manage waste responsibly and follow clinic protocols for food storage and disposal.
- Support staff catering needs while prioritizing patient dietary requirements.
Profile:
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic diets.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (mandatory).
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
