Job Description

Our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic Cook.  The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, safe, and well-balanced meals. This role ensures that meals meet medical dietary requirements, hygiene standards, and contribute to patient recovery and well-being.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to prescribed dietary plans and medical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare staff to accommodate patient-specific nutritional needs (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, allergen-free diets).
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and infection-control standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and equipment.
  • Monitor food supplies, assist with inventory management, and report shortages promptly.
  • Serve meals on time and in appropriate portions, ensuring presentation is appealing and supportive of patient appetite.
  • Manage waste responsibly and follow clinic protocols for food storage and disposal.
  • Support staff catering needs while prioritizing patient dietary requirements.

Profile:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic diets.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (mandatory).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
