Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance & AutoCAD Drafting

Alteo Milling Ltd is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional for the above-mentioned opportunity at Union Flacq. The candidate will report to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

·        To participate actively in daily production and maintenance meetings

·        To assist in maintenance of back-end equipment during off crop period

·        To prepare and update AutoCAD drawings for equipment and layouts

·        To produce sketches and as-built drawings for maintenance works

·        To support site modifications and drawing updates with the maintenance team

·        To report downtime and maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager

·        To issue store documents and purchase requests (SPR & DPR)

·        To assist in overtime monitoring and coordination

·        To prepare payment requests for contractors and suppliers

·        To assist payroll matters relating to casual workers

·        To supervise workers and contractors on assigned tasks

·        To ensure housekeeping and proper administration

·        To maintain Safety and Health, issue work permits, and ensure tasks are understood

 

Profile:

·        BSc in Mechanical Engineering or any related field

·        Strong AutoCAD knowledge and ability to prepare accurate drawings

·        At least 2 years' experience in a similar maintenance and/or drafting role

·        Industrial experience; Sugar Industry knowledge would be an advantage
