Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES 

As a Certifications & Grants Manager, you ensure the operational sustainability and compliance of the group across multiple international subsidiaries. Act as a key interface between field operations, certifications, and ESG strategy. Contribute to the development of impact-driven and fundable projects (climate, biodiversity, smallholder farmers). 

Your main responsibilities are:

· Lead and secure certifications (RFA, Organic, Fairtrade, BSCI, EcoVadis, SBTi) and manage field audits.

· Ensure compliance across international subsidiaries and strengthen traceability & internal control systems.

· Translate certification requirements into concrete operational practices with sourcing, production, and ESG teams.

· Implement group standards, harmonize practices, and deploy field-oriented tools.

· Identify funding opportunities for to the development of impact-driven projects.

· Provide technical input for grant applications.

· Support impact measurement and reporting.

· Train, support, and empower local teams, ensuring strong field presence.

 

PROFILE 

· 5–10 years’ experience in certifications and grants, ideally in the agri-food industry.

· Strong knowledge of certification standards : RFA, Organic, Fairtrade, etc.

· Good understanding of agricultural supply chains.

· Solid understanding of ESG topics : climate, biodiversity, traceability.

· Ability to structure projects and translate field realities into fundable impact.

· Experience in international and multicultural environments (Africa / Asia preferred).

· Strong coordination and leadership skills. Proactive, ethic and team player.

· Field-oriented, pragmatic, and autonomous, able to navigate between operations and strategy with strong interpersonal skills.

· Languages: Fluent in English and French; Swahili is a plus.
