Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Storekeeper is responsible for the effective management of spare parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock control, timely issue of parts, and proper storage within the UM Group Ltd.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming spare parts against delivery notes and purchase orders
  • Issue spare parts to workshop/maintenance teams based on approved requisitions
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and perform regular stock counts and reconciliation
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and arrangement of all spare parts
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the spare parts store

 

Requirements:

  • HSC or equivalent qualification
  • 2–3 years experience in spare parts or warehouse/store environment (automotive or heavy equipment preferred)
  • Good knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel; ERP system knowledge is an advantage)
  • Ability to identify mechanical spare parts is a strong advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Responsible, honest, organized, and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Driving License is an advantage
