Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

Guest Service

  • Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables

  • Present menus and explain daily specials

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders

  • Serve food and drinks professionally

Order Management
  • Enter orders correctly into the POS system

  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff

  • Ensure timely delivery of orders

Billing & Payments
  • Prepare and present bills to guests

  • Handle cash, card, or room charge payments accurately

  • Balance cash at the end of shift 

Table Setup & Cleanliness
  • Set up tables according to hotel standards

  • Clear and reset tables quickly

  • Maintain cleanliness of dining area

Customer Satisfaction
  • Check on guests during their meal

  • Handle complaints politely and report serious issues to supervisor

  • Ensure guests leave satisfied

Compliance & Standards
  • Follow hotel service standards and grooming policies

  • Comply with hygiene and safety regulations

  • Attend shift briefings and training sessions
