Job Description

Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Food Line Quality Controller. This position is ideal for someone passionate about food quality and safety, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of food production. As a Food Line Quality Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the production process.

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Inspections:

    • Conduct visual inspections of the production line to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
    • Monitor the appearance, color, texture, and size of food products to identify any deviations or defects.
    • Remove any products that do not meet quality requirements and document the reasons for rejection.
  2. Sampling and Testing:

    • Collect samples of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods for quality analysis.
    • Perform sensory evaluation tests on products.
  3. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions taken.
    • Assist in the preparation of daily production reports and quality metrics for management review.
    • Communicate quality issues and concerns to QA Manager and collaborate on solutions to improve product quality and safety.
  4. Adherence to Procedures:

    • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to quality control and food safety.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies governing food production and quality assurance.
  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in the production line.
    • Suggest and implement corrective actions to address recurring quality issues and prevent future occurrences.
    • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing company is highly regarded.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform simple calculations.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
  • Interest in learning about food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
