Job Description

  • To lead by example and behave professionally at all times.
  • To encourage team members to learn & live the values & culture.
  • To conduct morning/afternoon briefing, informing the HK Team about daily events and other movements.
  • To have an eye for details and maintain a high level of cleanliness & hygiene.
  • To verify the grooming of team members are according to set standards.
  • Up keeping of grounds, stairs, terrace, ducting, pantries & the HK office.
  • To check and ensure that rooms are being cleaned according to IQ Audit Standards (Room & Turndown check sheet).
  • To ensure that all team members adhered to operating standards, Company Health & Safety policies at all times.
  • To ensure you carry out your duties according to the shift checklists & room check sheets.
  • To prepare the HK room status reports for 7:00, 16:00 & 23:00
  • To Verify the Discrepancies report with the 23:00 HK status report and inform the FO team for any errors.
  • To do Room Attendants Sheets according to daily reports, paying attention to special requirements of guests, Repeaters and VIP.
  • To deal with and follow up on maintenance issues.
  • To deal with complaints promptly and efficiently and to be proactive in finding solutions.
  • To develop and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • To actively participate in our online guest satisfaction survey.
  • To develop a rich communication within all departments.
  • To check that all trolleys, cleaning cloth, materials, equipments and all company assets are well maintained and cleaned daily.
  • To ensure that team members are using the right chemical, cloth and equipments for the right task.
  • To assist the Head Supervisor in the planning of daily, weekly, monthly and bi- annually deep cleaning.
  • To work closely and liaise effectively with the Front Office Team.
  • To assist the Exec. HK in the smooth running of the HK department.
  • To assist in the training & development of Team Members.
  • To attend monthly team meetings.
  • To follow up on orders of consumables, chemicals and other materials.
  • To monitor linen change closely
  • To record & store all lost & found items according to the procedures in place.
  • To check & verify morning & evening room attendant sheets are properly filled & signed
  • To update the room day & turndown check calendar daily for your respective blocks.
  • To ensure the IN & OUT log sheet for consumables are correctly filled daily for proper control
  • To assist in the delivery of the weekly On the job training
  • To ensure Dirty linen & bins are taken out of VD / departure rooms.
  • To switch off all lights and tune the air conditioning on the minimum level in VD, VC, Visit & departure rooms
  • To liaise with the Room service department for clearing of food and platters in occupied, departures and VD rooms
  • To ensure the Keys, Materials, Complaints & Maintenance log books are properly filled and updated daily.
  • To ensure all key issues are logged in the handing over book and updated daily.
  • To participate in Inventories for Fixed Assets, Room amenities, Linen and General room inspection.
  • To follow any other instructions given by your line Manager and the Management Team.
