Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the general welfare of patients or passengers in their care from showing empathy and providing reassurance.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that patient journeys are planned and delivered in the most effective and efficient way.
  • Ensure that their vehicle is safe and clean and that they are properly equipped at the start all times whilst on duty.
  • Provide appropriate and necessary assistance for patients to access vehicles.
  • Ensure regular cleaning of vehicle; maintaining hygiene of vehicle in the event of any patient spillage, in line with Infection Control Policy.
  • Cooperate with colleagues to achieve the most effective operation for daily workloads.
  • Be prepared to pay a full part in achieving individual and team targets and keep up with the flow of work.
  • Review planned journeys to optimize routes, maximizing both fuel efficiency and loading capacity of vehicles.
  • Report any accidents or near misses as set out in the Incident Reporting Procedure.
  • Demonstrate care and understanding for patients can access vehicle, advising supervisor or manager where a difference resource is required.
  • Take care of their own Health & Safety and that of any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • Report and record any unsafe practices or workplace hazards.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum SC
  • Mandatory Valid Goods Vehicle and Heavy Motor Car(Bus) driving license
  • 5-7 Years Driving Experiences
  • Defensive Driver
