Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Book periodic journal entries including payroll, tax, and provisions
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations accurately and timeously
- Process and reconcile account payments
- Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations
- Responsible for all tax filing and tax calculations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Create relevant vendor cards and perform periodic review on vendor maintenance
- Maintain accurate financial records and support the accounting team as required
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; OR ACCA Level 2 (Applied Skills) as a minimum
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax legislation
- Demonstrated experience in tax filing and calculations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, or similar) and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and organisational skills
