Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
  • Book periodic journal entries including payroll, tax, and provisions
  • Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations accurately and timeously
  • Process and reconcile account payments
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations
  • Responsible for all tax filing and tax calculations, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
  • Create relevant vendor cards and perform periodic review on vendor maintenance
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support the accounting team as required
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; OR ACCA Level 2 (Applied Skills) as a minimum
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in tax filing and calculations (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, or similar) and MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication and organisational skills
