Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items according to standard recipes and production schedules
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation of all baked products
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bakery area, equipment, and utensils in line with food safety standards (HACCP)
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or requisition ingredients as needed
  • Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef  to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Comply with grooming, safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar role in a hotel, bakery, or restaurant
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to work early shifts, weekends, and holidays if required
  • Good teamwork and time management skills
  • Food safety and hygiene certification is an advantage
