Job Description
- Ensuring quality assurance procedures are adhered to by reporting personnel
- Managing the training and competency assessment of newly recruited Quality Controllers
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in investigating any nonconformities that arise during routine monitoring activities
- Monitoring the attendance and assigning daily tasks to Quality Controllers
- Compiling reports on product attributes as required by management
- Liaising with other departments to ensure quality and food safety requirements are being routinely met
- Assisting the Head of Technical in the running of the QA department during any period of absence of the QA Manager
The ideal candidate for this position shall possess:
- Formal qualifications in the field of food technology
- A background in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of the principles of HACCP and food hygiene best practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Good report writing skills
- A dynamic personality able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
