Job Description

• Maintain stock & display food according to established standards
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and outlet areas
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, dishes and silverware
• Perform opening and closing duties as required
• Work on a rotating shift, around all the outlets.
• Prepare the trolleys and the trays during his/her shift.
• Bring the service in an efficient and courteous way to the room.
• Check the cleanliness and perfect shape of all items sent to the guest.
• Wait for Superiors check before bringing service to the guest-room.
• Bring the invoice to the guest and for settlement of the bill.
• Remove the trolleys and trays from rooms and floors.
• Check his personal grooming and uniforms appearance matches with standards.
• Comply with hotel’s safety, hygiene and health policies.
• Responsible for VIP’s set-up Bars.
• Be attentive to guests requests and resolve their complaints where possible, reporting all incidents to your Supervisor
• Maintain detailed knowledge of menu, including daily specials
• Complete dockets accurately and clearly
• Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel
• Strictly adhere to the hotel’s established policies and procedures with regard to the handling of payments, credit, house funds and shift hand over
• Ensure that sufficient stocks of checks, printed materials, cigarettes and small denotation are available at all times in the outlet
• Account for all guests in numerical sequence, including those received from and/or handled over to other cashiers as well as voided and/or cancelled cheques
• Ensure the charged bill is checked against room number and name in accordance with computer listing prior to posting
• Ensure that all work is balanced at the end of each shift and that the total, balances with the computer’s total
• Inform the Food and Beverage Supervisor of any problems encountered during shift and also clearly document in the outlet’s log book.  In urgent cases, call the Income Auditor immediately, or in the absence the Manager on Duty
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the immediate superiors/Head of Department from time to time

EXPERIENCE AS WAITER IN HOTEL OR RESTAURANT IS A MUST
