Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Body & Paint workshop to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high-quality service delivery
  • Oversee customer relations, handling queries, complaints, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and fleet partners
  • Plan and optimise workshop capacity, ensuring maximum productivity and timely vehicle delivery
  • Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), invoicing, and revenue to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure effective coordination between departments and smooth administrative processes from booking to invoicing
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team, ensuring performance targets and KPIs are met
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and quality standards (ISO)
  • Analyse operational and financial performance, preparing reports and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Support the Operations Manager in budgeting, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Additional certification in supervision, operations, or workshop management 
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle repair processes (Body & Paint / Mechanical)
  • Good understanding of workshop operations, job card systems, and invoicing processes
  • Familiarity with insurance procedures and fleet management 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and workshop management systems

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in an automotive workshop environment
