About the role:

As a business partner, the Legal & Compliance division helps ensure that our organization operates effectively and in a well‑controlled way. It includes several expert teams, such as Internal Control & Compliance, Risk & Security, and Corporate Legal. We are looking for an in‑house Internal Control & Compliance Officer to join our dynamic, multinational Group Internal Control & Compliance team. The mission of the Group Internal Control & Compliance department is to support management in defining, implementing, and maintaining a consistent internal control system across the entire SD Worx Group. We also monitor compliance with all relevant internal and external policies, standards, laws, and regulations—both within SD Worx and among our partners and suppliers. Our goal is to further strengthen the maturity of internal controls and protect the quality and reputation of SD Worx as a trusted, compliant service provider. Which tasks can you expect?

As the Internal Control & Compliance Officer, you:

  • Define, develop and facilitate the setup of an Internal Control & Compliance organization under the supervision of the Group Internal Control & Compliance Manager

  • Support, liaise and align with Compliance Officers in the various SD Worx entities

  • Assist in the definition, implementation and maintenance of a standardized and consistent internal control system throughout the SD Worx entities

  • Monitor compliance to internal policies & processes, and external laws & regulations by SD Worx and its partners and suppliers

  • Supporting a Compliance Program (incl. compliance monitoring) to reinforce the corporate vision and strategic objectives

  • Prepare for, coordinate and facilitate external audits and assessments (e.g. SOC reporting, client audits)

  • Provide advice and support to the business on internal controls and compliance

  • Handle ad-hoc compliance & internal control requests from / towards external parties (partners, suppliers, customers)

  • Liaise with other control functions (legal, risk & security, internal audit)

  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group Internal Control & Compliance department


What do you have to offer?

  • You are a high potential with at least 3 years of experience within an audit, internal control, compliance or risk management function

  • You have minimum a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT or equivalent

  • You have experience with working in an international environment, preferably in the services industry

  • You have proven knowledge of key standards, frameworks and concepts in the areas of Service Organisations Control (SOC reporting), information security (ISO27001), data privacy (GDPR), and IT service management and control (CobiT / ITIL)

  • You have a strong affinity with identifying risks and determining suitable internal controls in business and IT processes

  • Legal compliance knowledge or background is considered a plus

  • Effective communication skills in English and French (orally and in writing) - good knowledge of other languages is considered to be an asset

  • You have strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities

  • You have a pragmatic (internal) customer/business focus (enabling awareness, balanced risk-based approach, revenue protection ….)

  • You have the ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

  • You enjoy working in a growing, changing, agile and complex environment

  • You combine a risk-conscious working style with a no nonsense and goal-oriented attitude

  • You are a team player, yet able to work autonomously

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, intellectual curiosity and willingness to grow
