Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates in the provision of excellent service to guests;
  • Welcomes guest courteously as per Hotel procedures;
  • Converses with guests to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement;
  • Provides guests with correct and relevant information on all the Hotel’s products (e.g. types of rooms, rooms configuration and rates.);
  • Inform guests about Hotel features and services during their stay;
  • Checks-in guests upon arrival; confirm their conditions of stay and enters guest data in the information system;
  • Notes down all wake-up calls requests;
  • Monitors room keys, prepares welcome kits for expected guests and carries out other transactions by strictly following SOP(s);
  • Ensures that dockets are not missing for guests checking out the next day;
  • Checks-out guests on departure and closes their account, while ensuring that dockets are removed after the departure of guests;
  • Perform foreign currency change;
  • Prints and sends guest folios to the rooms on the eve of departure;
  • Prints arrival/departure lists and other reports as per requirements;
  • Send faxes for guests during their stay, and charges them accordingly;
  • Communicates with Housekeeping, F&B and other departments regarding guest requirements and requests;
  • Checks, controls and updates guest accounts by charging and recording all services when consumed;
  • Exchanges foreign currency for guests;
  • Hands over cash float to incoming colleagues at the end of his/her shift;
  • Settles guests’ accounts using different modes of payment. 

Qualifications:

  • NTC3 in Hotel Management.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar position 

Other requirements:

  • High levels of integrity;
  • Passionate about service;
  • Creative and innovative;
  • Proactive, dynamic, flexible and professional attitude with outstanding interpersonal skills and customer service skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French languages. A third language will be a definite advantage;
  • Sound knowledge of Micros;
  • Previous cash handling experience;
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on public holidays;
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate;
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
