Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate and drive a delivery truck to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety regulations.
- Plan and manage delivery routes to optimize efficiency, taking into account traffic conditions and delivery timeframes.
- Communicate with clients upon delivery, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs, receipts, and any discrepancies in inventory.
- Conduct regular inspections of the delivery vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues to management.
- Collaborate with E-commerce staff to ensure accurate inventory management and timely fulfillment of e-commerce orders.
- Resolve delivery-related issues, such as route changes or product discrepancies, in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback on delivery processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Certificate of First Cycle studies or any other relevant qualifications
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage
OTHER REQUISITES:
- Positive proactive team player with a dynamic personality
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure
