C-Care International, part of the healthcare cluster of CIEL Group, is a Mauritian private healthcare group that owns and operates four healthcare facilities in Mauritius, namely C-Care Darné, Wellkin, Grand-Baie and Tamarin, and two hospitals in Uganda, C-Care IHK and IMC. C-Care also owns and manages 22 primary care Clinics and 55 C-Lab collection centres in Mauritius, Uganda, and Madagascar.
C-Care is currently looking for a Trainer & Clinical Programme Specialist to be based at C-Care Corporate Office, in Mauritius.
| Trainer & Clinical Programme Specialist
Reporting to the Head of Training Institute (CCTI), the selected candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, development, coordination, delivery, growth and continuous improvement of assigned training programmes within the Institute. The role ensures that programmes are academically robust, operationally efficient, commercially successful, learner-centred and fully compliant with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The incumbent will lead programme development, curriculum management, learner recruitment, academic quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives that support the strategic growth of CCTI.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the planning, coordination and successful implementation of assigned training programmes.
- Develop, review and continuously improve programme curricula, lesson plans, learning materials and assessment strategies.
- Ensure programmes are delivered according to approved curriculum, timelines and CCTI quality standards.
- Monitor programme performance, learner progression, attendance and completion rates.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Deliver classroom, practical, simulation-based and blended learning sessions.
- Apply adult learning methodologies to maximise learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Coordinate examinations, continuous assessments, OSCEs and practical competency assessments.
- Provide academic guidance and learner support throughout the learner journey.
- Support BLS training and other clinical education activities where required.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and learner-centred educational environment.
- Support the commercial growth of CCTI by achieving learner recruitment targets for assigned programmes.
- Select students based on motivation, competencies and potential for successful employment upon programme completion.
- Manage the learner recruitment pipeline from enquiry through enrolment.
- Conduct follow-up calls, interviews and learner guidance sessions.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote programmes through campaigns, Open Days, information sessions and digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities for new programmes based on workforce demand, market intelligence and organisational priorities.
- Contribute to programme pricing, market analysis and competitor benchmarking.
- Support the successful launch of new programmes and qualifications.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, including MQA, MITD, MIH, HRDC, Nursing Council and other relevant authorities.
- Prepare and coordinate programme and school accreditations, renewals, approvals and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain effective relationships with awarding bodies, regulators and academic institutions.
- Monitor changes in legislation and educational requirements and recommend programme improvements.
- Ensure programme documentation remains accurate, current and audit-ready.
- Coordinate academic assessments, moderation and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure fairness, consistency and standardisation of learner assessments.
- Monitor learner outcomes and recommend interventions to improve performance.
- Lead curriculum reviews and programme evaluations.
- Develop and maintain high-quality teaching resources and assessment tools.
- Promote innovation and best practice in healthcare education.
- Build effective relationships with internal departments, Business Units, clinical leaders and external partners.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with clinical and departmental leaders to enhance both student and operational experiences during internships.
- Work collaboratively with assessors, trainers and subject matter experts.
- Ensure learners receive timely communication, guidance and administrative support.
- Manage learner concerns and resolve issues professionally.
- Promote an exceptional learner experience throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Prepare regular reports on enrolment, learner performance, programme quality and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor programme KPIs and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Support digital learning, blended learning and educational innovation.
- Research emerging healthcare education trends and recommend future programme opportunities.
- Contribute to strategic projects that strengthen the long-term growth of the C-Care Training Institute.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Allied Health, or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification or adult education certification preferred.
- Postgraduate qualification in Education, Learning & Development or Programme Management is advantageous.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in nursing, clinical education, or healthcare training, curriculum development and learner assessment, managing programme accreditation and regulatory submissions, student recruitment and programme development, working within healthcare or regulated education environments is highly desirable.
