We Are Hiring – Accountant

Silver Wings Travels Ltd is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to join its Finance team and contribute to the smooth running of its accounting operations, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working with accuracy, deadlines, reconciliations, reporting, cash controls, working capital management, compliance, and process improvement, while supporting business decisions through reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilitie

  • Monitor, control, and account for daily cash office operations, bank movements, payment schedules, and cash flow, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time
  •   Perform weekly Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) reconciliations, support accurate airline settlements, manage month-end closure of the travel system, and assist with new operational systems and digitalisation initiatives.
  •  Manage debtors' recovery, accounts receivable, accounts payable, supplier reconciliations, and working capital activities, while overseeing and validating daily invoicing processes
  •   Perform monthly bank, intercompany, and third-party reconciliations, maintain ledger integrity, and ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly financial reporting to the CJ Group Accounting Team.
  •    Support the preparation of yearly financial statements, Group reporting uploads, yearly forecasts, and the AOP three-year budget in line with required formats and timelines.
  • Prepare and monitor timely statutory filings, including VAT, PAYE, NPF/CSG, and APS, and support audit readiness by preparing schedules and resolving audit queries efficiently.
  • Apply approved procedures, SOPs, SLAs, and internal accounting policies, provide guidance to Accounting Associates, and respond professionally to finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure measurable delivery of key finance priorities, including full reconciliation of daily cash and bank movements, timely BSP submissions, adherence to monthly and quarterly closing deadlines, reduction of ageing debtors, accurate supplier payment processing, and zero penalties on statutory submissions.

Candidate Profile

  • ACCA (completed Level 2) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in an Accountant position
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, accounting processes, and statutory requirements
  •   Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  •  High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, teamwork, and communication skills.
