About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Financial Consultant to provide strategic financial guidance to our company on a part-time, freelance basis.
The consultant will work closely with management to strengthen our business finance, budgeting, financial planning, and decision-making processes. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional who can provide practical, commercially focused advice without requiring a full-time commitment.
Key Responsibilities
Advise management on financial planning, budgeting, and business performance.
- Develop and review annual and periodic budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze revenues, costs, profitability, and cash flow to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Review business performance against budgets and key financial targets.
- Identify areas for cost optimization and improved financial efficiency.
- Support management with financial models, projections, and scenario analysis.
- Provide recommendations on business investments, expenses, and financial priorities.
- Review existing financial processes and suggest improvements where appropriate.
- Prepare clear financial reports and management-level recommendations.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the leadership team on an ongoing basis.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Consultant, Finance Manager, CFO, Financial Advisor, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong expertise in business finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to advise business owners or senior management.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
- Excellent understanding of financial performance indicators and business profitability.
- Ability to interpret financial information and turn it into practical business recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Experience working independently or as a freelance/consulting professional is preferred.
Engagement
This is a part-time freelance consulting position. The consultant will work on an agreed number of hours or days per month, depending on the company's needs.
The engagement can be structured around regular advisory sessions, financial reviews, budgeting support, and ad-hoc financial consulting.
Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and scope of work.
