Job Description
TecEx is the leading global Importer of Record and
Compliance Specialist. TecEx provides a modernized door-to-door
importer of record service to more than 1000+ clients into over 200 destinations across the globe.
This role provides oversight and consolidation of legal, governance and statutory compliance activity across TecEx Group Limited and will be based in Grand Baie, Mauritius. Our hybrid work model allows work from home on Thursdays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and consolidate legal, governance and statutory compliance activity across TecEx Group Limited into a single, coherent view
- Manage and develop the Legal & Governance team, and coordinate with shared R&D resources supporting statutory compliance and business interests
- Review and sign off on contracts, legal matters and statutory filings prepared by the team
- Track ISO 9001/27001 compliance status and ESG-support activity delivered by the team, flagging gaps or risks
- Act as first point of escalation for legal, governance and compliance matters, ensuring sufficient executive oversight where necessary.
- Identify improvements, opportunities and risk areas within the legal, governance and compliance space.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong working knowledge of contract law, governance and statutory compliance
Comfortable managing a team with various streams of incoming work and stakeholders
Confident, engaging senior stakeholders and presenting to management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
LLB or equivalent legal qualification / Internal Audit
3-5 years' experience in a legal, governance or compliance role
Experience managing or coordinating a small team advantageous
Exposure to ISO 9001/27001 and/or ESG frameworks advantageous
Experience in a regulated Compliance Environment advantageous
