Job Description

Job Responsibilities:


Supervises activities of staff and allocates stations and tasks responsibilities for an efficient service according to standards.
Oversees selection, recruitment and induction of Security staff, and advices People & Culture Department in case of release of employees.
Conducts regular briefings and monthly meetings with staff members to share information and handle any working issues.

Provides regular feedback to staff members on their performance and conducts performance appraisal of immediate subordinates in accordance with the Human Resources policies and guidelines.

Ensures that maximum security is provided to items left by guests.

Keeps track of the attendance on a monthly basis to control punctuality, absenteeism, overtime and casual labour, in order to make sure staff members have recorded their IN and OUT duty time.

Compiles various reports pertaining to safety and security such as property loss correspondence and submits to Senior Management

Reads incoming correspondence and disseminates pertinent information to staff members.

Organises and conducts departmental Duty and Safety committee meetings and attends and participates in other required meetings.

Represents the Hotel in any meeting or event related to Security issues when required.


Qualifications


Diploma/ Degree in Management


Experience


A minimum of 5 years of working experience the hospitality industry or other relevant industries at managerial level.

A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the Law  enforcement (Police or Military Force) or in a Private Company

International working experience with well-known hospitality brands.

Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills, performing work accountable and effectively.

Outstanding customer service skills.

Extremely creative and innovative.

Ability to work under pressure, in teams and on own.    

Excellent planning and organising skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French languages.

Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends and public holidays.

A clean certificate of character is a must.
