Job Description
What you will be doing:
• Conduct nutritional screening and assessment of inpatients. • Develop, implement and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Monitor patients receiving oral nutritional supplements and enteral feeding.
• Provide bedside nutrition counselling and discharge education.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and document patient progress.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of therapeutic diets in collaboration with the Food &
Beverage Department.
• Conduct meal tray audits and monitor food service quality.
• Educate kitchen staff on therapeutic diets and nutrition standards.
• Escalate complex cases and provide daily clinical handover to the Head of OPD & Drs’ Relations
What are we looking for ?
• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition.
• Eligible for registration Or registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
(Mauritius).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong clinical reasoning and organisational skills.
• Previous hospital experience is an advantage.
